Putrescence: Fatal white pustules upon septic organs

It becomes really clear after just reviewing the Swedish band Facebreaker that there are differences in how to make death metal. Like we didn’t know that already, but hey – I need to start off this review somehow. Putrescence is a under-produced death metal band that gives me zip, shit, nada and nothing. Weird (you could say untight at times) arrangements where the motto seems to be “the more shitty riffs in a short period of time – the better”.
I strongly disagree with that mindset.
It feels like there’s no structure whatsoever in this. You got some crappy semi-pig vocals combined with quite useless growls. Blasts and grind all over the place. And on top of it all you have an annoying and too highly mixed ride cymbal. All of it making this album stand out in one way and one way only: It’s pretty fucken shit.
I don’t even care to mention the included live tracks. It’s not like they save this disc. Like anyone thought they would. Right.
